SME China Forum
IPIEC is an international Innovation & Entrepreneurship competition organised by WTOIP, funded and supported by local Guangzhou government, and in particular the Guangzhou Ministry for Industry & Technology (MIIT) and the Guangzhou Tech Transfer Office.
During the afternoon session at the SME China Forum, we will host a breakout pitching competition for 10-15 pre-selected SMEs to pitch to a panel for judges.
The winner of this competition will then get the opportunity to take part in the semi-finals and finals in Guangzhou in January 2018 (and the opportunity to win $100k prize, as well as an opportunity to pitch to local Chinese investors/VCs).
The competition is now open for applications from UK technology firms, particularly companies in the areas of healthcare, advanced manufacturing (including robotics & AI), ICT/digital, new materials, and environmental technologies.
Please visit IPIEC Competition for more information on how companies can apply (deadline 31st December). Note: all candidates shortlisted to pitch will receive free entry to the SME China Forum.
Please note that CBBC will also be providing IP protection advice to companies before they submit applications, and will be screening applications, to try and ensure companies are protecting themselves ahead of the competition.
